[edit] Population
Question:
How does the population grow? I have a population limit of 17k and population of 12k with a loyalty of 90%. Does there something that makes people not to enter your village instead of loyalty?
—Gaboikari 16:52, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Answer:
Your population is determined by a number of factors.. one being max pop which is determined by your cottages. then loyalty and taxrate have an affect. Taxes affect loyalty. Higher loyaltys will inrease your current population in relation to max pop. Low loyalty will Lower your current pop. Using prayer and disaster relief increase loyalty which are helpful.
There is a method of maximizing profit by maxing loyalty/pop/and tax at the same time using disaster relief.
The method is that loyalty can only drop 1 pt in a certain amount of time but in the 15 minute period between disaster relief use is available that amount will not exceed the 5 pts gained from using disaster relief to having tax at 100% and using disaster relief constantly will maximize profit.. But doing so requires some constant computer use and some risk... Dont log off without lowering taxes or you may find yourself with a rioting population!
But then i answered more then your question :D
--Kageshukuun 17:05, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Question:
I sometimes use the comfort 100% tax technique. However, even though loyalty is at 100%, if I train troops, the population does not seem to come back, and population growth halts, any ideas? Also, I'm on server 112 if that means anything.
Answer:
If your tax is set at 100% population does not regrow. If you need population to go up reduce your tax rate.

[edit] Embassy
Question:
Do i need an embassy in every town?
—WikiSysop 19:37, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Anwer:
No you do not. You only need one to be in an alliance but having one in each town means that allies can garrison troops in your town which might be neccesary if attacked.

[edit] How can I protect my gold from an attacker?
Question:
Food, lumber, stone, and iron can all be protected in the warehouse, but not gold. How can I protect my gold from an attacker?
—User:Cuteshaun 17:52, 14 Sept 2009 (UTC)
-- SuckaMC (Re-phrased question)
Answer:
First, please note that you can no longer place buy and sell orders in the market to proect your resources. Any resources you have offered on the market, but have not yet been shipped to a buyer, are subject to plundering. Also, any gold you have used to make bids on the market, but has not yet been paid to a seller, is also subject to plundering.
You have a couple of options to protect gold in case of attack. The first and obvious choice is spend it on research, wall traps and training. Another option is send your gold (and other resources if you wish) to another one of your cities or allies or to a nearby valley to camp. When the attack hits, any resources you have en route to (or at) one of your other cities|allies|valleys is not eligble for plundering.

[edit] New City?
- Current Server: 1
Question:
How do I build a new city?
—Wyld 23:53, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Answer:
To build a new city you must first conquer a flat of any level. Then you must have 250 workers and 10,000 of each resource including gold. Select the conquered flat, click the Build City button and after some time your new city will be erected! This information is in-game as well, hover over the little fort icon at bottom right of your interface.
BUG REPORT - the "would you like to recall the reinforcing troops" dialog box which is displayed when you build a new city does not work. Manual recall is called for.
Also, if you are using this method to create NPC's for farming, you may or may not wish to return the workers and goods from te complete city afterwards. Build a rally spot and reinforce them back to the city they came from. Be advised, they will walk at the slowest pace possible. Level 1 rally level 0 relief station.

[edit] Buying and selling
Question:
Please tell me how to buy things in the marketplace!
Answer:
First select the marketplace, Then on the left side click buy.. it will then change the right side box to the lowest available price and ask for an amount. Type in the amount you would like ( say 10000) and then click bid. It will then post a bid for you and will be seen in upper box of the main screen ( the one you saw before you clicked buy.) When the order has been fulfilled it will transfer to the lower box with a timer on the right telling you how long till the resources arrive to your town.

[edit] Penalty to canceling construction
Question:
( A question emailed to me) I would like to know if there is a penalty for stopping research or building part way through the time frame?
Answer:
Yes, there is a small resource penalty equal to 5% ( destroying a cottage lvl1 gave me back 95/100 food)

[edit] How do I make a build queue?
- Current Server: W4
Question:
In some website reviews, it says it's possible to make a build queue. How can I do that?
—Eduararley 22:34, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
Answer:
As of September 2009, you can (still) not make a build queue. The only things you can queue are troops (in your barracks) and fortifications (in your walls). Increasing the level on a barracks allows it to hold more troops in its queue.

[edit] Where to put my buildings???
Server 15.....well all of them I guess...this question is a building related issue, but I can't find it listed.
XP, IE, Flash (I have no idea)
Question:
Where should I put my buildings?
Does this affect the game play at all? Or is it more for looks? For example.... If I put my quarry near the mountains is it gonna build more stone? Or if my cottages are further away from the rally point..... will it take my troops longer to get there? I currently just scatter them at the moment, but wouldn't mind knowing if I place them somewhere specific if it's going to help at all?
Simple question and simple answers please??????
I'm a simple person. LOL

Server W2
Answer:
Well as far as im aware there isnt any benefits from placements. I myself like to keep it lookin organized ( all farms in one area all cottages in one area) but there hasnt been a benefit to it. Scattererd or not is more of an aesthetic choice.
--Kageshukuun 16:58, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
NOTE - there is a placement thats good for buildings, its dependant upon the location of the interface clicks. Placig the buildings you click most often in the eastern corner of the city will help save time moving the mouse around. If you have to scrol the mouse all the way back and forth all the time for clicking on buildings.. it will cost a lot fo time.
Put the feasting hall, one barracks, the rally and the academy in the eastern corner of the city. Right next to the city list. This will help you save time over the long run.
[edit] town hall; production; what is 'Buff plus'
- Current Server:
—Sammos 03:27, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Answer:
There are several items in the game that, when activated, increase your production of a specified resource for a fixed length of time. They can be viewed by selecting the 'Produce' tab in 'My Items'. For example, a blower increases iron production by 25% for 24 hours. While in effect, the calculated numerical benefit to production shows in the 'Buff plus' section of the production report in the Town Hall. --Sprinkles 10:46, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
[edit] army in new city
- Current Server: 20
Question:
I built a new city and was wondering if you can recall the troops and hero that were sent.
—Ravynwingz 02:15, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
Answer:
You can recall them from the Feasting Hall when they are sitting in like a valley or flat. When you build a town you have to send them back to your town i think.. just use reinforce.

[edit] max cities
- Current Server:
Question:
Is there a limit to how many cities you can build? I only see 9 slots so a limit of 9?
—Mastermindboi 16:08, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Answer:
I think its either 9 or 10 cities max
--Kageshukuun 17:26, 2 July 2009 (UTC) The anser is 10. the last spot will open up. a player on server 27 has 10 citys, thow, he is the only one with 10. (PRIME).
Answer: The final slot with the city icon, which gives requirements for building your next city when you hover your mouse over it, will be replaced with an empty slot on reaching the title of Prinzessin. It's assumed by then you'll already know that information. Lord Occam 16:52, 26 October 2009 (UTC) Back To Top
[edit] refund construction
- Current Server: 6
Question:
I tried to build 100 rolling logs but then changed my mind and cancelled it. I saw in another question that you would get a part of your resources back, but I don't think I got mine back. I had +1 million lumber before construction. After cancellation I only have 330000 left. Why is that? Don't I get refunds?
—Yuki705 16:26, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Answer:
When testing this out on a cottage i did infact get refund.. i never tried it with troops/defenses and it could be higher level stuff or higher numbers of stuff give less refund.
--Kageshukuun 17:25, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
I found that when I undid the recruiting of some troops, I got the supplies back, but not the people
When u undo the training of troops and stop the building of wall defenses you only get back a third of the resources you spent.
[edit] Closing the gates
Closing gates?
- Current Server:
Question:
If I close the gate, will I have more protection than if I didn't close it? How do you close the gate?
—Pokeety 20:19, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Answer:
To close the gates, you go into your Rally Spot, and un-check the box next to Medic Camp that says "Open gate to fight". With the gate closed your army does not join the battle, only your fortifications fight the enemy. With the gate open, your fortifications and your army fight the enemy.

[edit] 5 minute speed up issue
- Current Server: 19
Question:
In my city, I have a number of Lv. 3 sawmills. The comp indicates that the cost time is 4 min. 22 sec. however it won't do the free under 5 minute speed up. Any reason why this is?
—Tennisace997 19:00, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
Answer:
The 5 minute speed up time is off of base production time. If the production is sped up at all, either by the Construction research or by a Mayor with high Politics, it can drop below 5 minutes, but still have a greater amount of base production time.

[edit] Lvl #/Ct. # in Research
Current Server: Server 37 (37.evony.com)
Question:
Can anyone tell me what the CT.# stands for in the Research area of the Academy. Some of the items i researched are the same number some are not. This is only in my 2nd city.
—Devneezy 21:40, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Answer:
CT stands for the current tech of the city in which you are in. As an example: In your first city you have researched level three archery which requires level four academy. In your second city your academy is only level three. You still receive the research from the first city in the second; however, since your tech (academy level) does not support level three archery you can't use it. So you would see Lvl 3/CT 2. You have researched level three but can only use level two in that city. You must upgrade your academy to take advantage of the research.

[edit] Archers + Archer Towers
- Current Server: w8
Question:
Does having archers with the archer towers "gives" anything (which means: its more powerful they combined then separated)?
—Buscopan 02:07, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Answer:
There are no benefits to building archers with archer towers. They are separate units. Archer towers are used as wall defenses, and come with their own archers inside. Archers are units for attacking, recruited in the barracks.

[edit] Inn vs. Relief Station
- Current Server: 16
Question:
Should I destroy my inn for a relief staion? Can someone answer?
—CuteFluffy 07:02, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
Answer:
That depends on if you already have all the heroes you will want. A relief station is a must if you are in an alliance, or you have more than 1 town, as it speeds up the travel time u to 5x. So if you do have all the heroes you want, then you can destroy the Inn, but i would suggest destroying a cottage or something.

[edit] Michaelangelo's Script
- Current Server: 29
Question:
What is Michaelangelo's Script and how do I get it?
—Bobwardhole 22:23, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
Answer:
A Michelangelo Script is an item used for upgrading buildings from Lv. 9 to Lv. 10. You can aquire this item from the beginner/lords package given to you by evony, or you can buy them via buying cents with real money, or you can find them by attacking NPCS. The last is very rare, but is possible.

is the resources capacity limit only increased in upgrading resources field..??or is there other ways to increase the capacity limit with out upgrading the fields..??thnx
—Cyruz 07:13, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

Yes, as you upgrade your resource fields the capacity limit goes up with it. If you hover over the 'upgrade' button it tells you what it upgrades the capacity limit to.
[edit] Relief Stations - one per city needed?
- Current Server: 25
Question:
I currently have 2 cities, and a relief station in one at level 9. Do I need another relief station in the other city for travel speed to be the same from this city, or does the first relief station cover travel speed to and from any/all cities?
—Field 10:24, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Answer:
You have to have a relief station in each of your cities to gain the travel speed, and you will only gain the travel speed by what level you have in each city. So you need them all to be high.
-Corberen 05:04, 29 August 2009
The speed between cities is determined by the Relief Station of the sending city. This usually causes asynchronous travel times (i.e. it takes 4 minutes to send from City A to City B, but 10 minutes to send from City B to City A). However, when transporting, or if the units automatically return for some other reason (such as no room in the Feasting Hall for the hero), the return trip is at the same speed as the trip there.
[edit] Construction research
- Current Server: 23
With the construction research, with every lvl researched, the construction time is reduced by 10%. Does that mean that, for example, if your researching lvl 2, will it decrease the time by 10% of the time it takes at lvl 1 or another 10% of the base time?
answer
it will decrease the time by 10% of the time it takes at lvl 1. if it decresed by another 10% of the base time, at lv 10 construction, everything would have a 0 build time.
^Above answer is false^ The formula for construction time of a building is the following: (Base time x 0.995 ^ Mayor Politics) x 0.9 ^ Construction level. There is no building speed of 0 seconds.

[edit] Problem with Barracks in Second City
w03
- Current Server:
I built my second city, but my barracks are stalled because of a misfit between the Academy and the Barrack: the barracks tell me that I require some technology (for example, for scouts that I need informatics 1), but when I go to the Academy it's set at the same levels as my main city (informatics is at 9) and it won't let me start anew. Thus, catch-22: I can't start a new Academy, so I can't make soldiers (well, warriors and workers, but nothing higher).
—Bastone 22:22, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
Answer:
Ok this is something that confuses quite a few users, the only real problem is the level of your second academy in your second city. If you require a lvl 4 academy to research a certain tech, your second academy has to be lvl 4 for you to have access to the tech, the simplest solution is to upgrade your academy in your second city so that it is the same lvl as the academy in your main city. This way anything you research in your first city can be applied in your second city and vice versa, i hope this answers your question.
Secondly if you check your academy you'll see technology levels, there is a section called Ct next to level, in some cases this is set to 0 while the technology is actctually higher, Its my guess this second number refers to the tech level in your Current Town, ( hence CT ).
[edit] Non-Vital Buildings
- Current Server:37
What are all the buildings that are non-vital? For instance you don't need a forge after you build a workshop and max out military science. You don't need a workshop after building your walls to max level, and max out metal casting. Is the stable added to that list? Is it needed to operate a relief station, or just to keep building them? I know it needs to be built up for horseback riding, and that goes hand-in-hand with the relief station too.

- Current Server: 55
I have a problem in keeping my net food production out of the negative (red) except when I am atacking something. Is there anything I can do to change this? Building farms or increasing population doesn't seem to help very much.
Answer from server 36
It is okay if it is in red, it means you have a strong army. Multiply the number in red * 24 to get how much you lose per day. If you lose 12M food per day a lvl 5 npc gives 3M food, make it a goal to plunder 4 lvl 5 npc's per day. Or just buy food, lol.

[edit] How to use the Michelango's Script
I have a michelango script but dont know how to use it.HELP
ANSWER: To use a michelango script you need to construct a Level 10 building - you need to level up one level at a time, then to make Level 10 you will need 1x script for every building you wish to upgrade to level 10. The script will be applied in the same way resources are taken when upgrading normally.
