[edit] Level 10 NPC
I can conquer lvl 10 NPC with 124994 Archers + Rainbow(1 Worker, 1 Scout, 1 Pikeman, 1 Swordman, Cavalry, and 1 Catapratch) In first wave.... and I only lost about 16k archers....
-You must have at least 120k Archers and 300k Warriors and 50 rainbow.
-You must have lvl 10 Archery, lvl 10 MT, lvl 10 IW, and lvl 10 medicine.
-You must have lvl 10 Rally point
-Your hero must have attack more than 110( only one hero for first wave)
-You must have at least 6 hero with 100 or more attack)
-Use Penicilin, Corselet and War Horn
-Ur city must be 1-2 miles from NPC lvl 10
After all of ur archers going back, send next waves.
(6-9 waves) With 35000 Archers, 40k warriors and rainbow
After that waves arrive, send with less troops
(6-9 waves) With 25000 arcers and 35k warriors + rainbow
And do it with less troops until u conquer that city.
(Least troops must be 20000 archers and 35k warriors+ rainbow) Dont try to attack less than this...
Overall, the NPC page does a poor job of showing what is practical for successful attacks.
Part of the issue is that there are many factors in the equation:
- Type of forces - generally for <6 this will be all Ballista and 6+ tends toward mixed forces (layers + Arch + Bals)
- Level of Archery (ARCH)
- Level of Horse Back Riding (HBR)
- Level of Military Tradition (MT)
- Level of Attack for Hero (ATT)
- Level of Attack for defending Hero (generally unknown at time of attack)
- Anything else ?
you can send less archers if you have more Ballista because the Ballista have massive range and will take out most of the defenses.
[edit] Level 5 NPC
A level 5 NPC city resources are replenish each 8 hrs, just like all NPC cities. A barbarian city will take approx 1 hour to regenerate all to full (10% of the full amount per 6 minute tick). A barb city will also immediately regenerate approx 18% of all lost wall units each time some are destroyed.
Example: If you destroyed 1000 towers and hit it again 1 second later 180 towers will be back.
Attacking low level NPC cities are mainly for resource and gold, this is done with ballistae to achieve 0 losses. The maximum level without losses is level 5. Level 6 or more have trebuchets so you will always suffer losses there.
But there are ARCHER TOWERS... so you need specific Archery and Horseback Riding (HBR) levels
Archery 08 / HBR 03 (Massive losses due to being in tower range)
Archery 08 / HBR 04 (Smalls losses @ tower safe range)
Archery 08 / HBR 05 (0 Losses)
Archery 08 / HBR 06 (0 Losses)
Archery 08 / HBR 07 (Small losses @ tower safe range)
Archery 08 / HBR 08 (Massive losses due to being in tower range)
Archery 08 / HBR 09 (Massive losses due to being in tower range)
Archery 09 / HBR 01 (Small losses @ tower safe range)
Archery 09 / HBR 02 (0 Losses when using over 575 ballistae)
Archery 09 / HBR 03 (0 Losses)
Archery 09 / HBR 05 (Small losses @ tower safe range)
Archery 09 / HBR 06 (Small losses @ tower safe range)
Archery 09 / HBR 07 (Small losses @ tower safe range)
Archery 09 / HBR 08 (0 Losses)
Archery 09 / HBR 09 (0 Losses)
Archery 10 / HBR 00 (0 Losses)
Archery 10 / HBR 05 (0 Losses)
Archery 10 / HBR 06 (0 Losses)
Archery 10 / HBR 07 (0 Losses)
Archery 10 / HBR 08 (0 Losses)
Archery 10 / HBR 09 (0 Losses)
Archery 10 / HBR 10 (0 Losses)
Number of Transport needed depends on Logistics level.
Level 0 Logistics = 798
Level 1 Logistics = 726
Level 2 Logistics = 665
Level 3 Logistics = 614
Level 4 Logistics = 570
Level 5 Logistics = 532
Level 6 Logistics = 499
Level 7 Logistics = 470
Level 8 Logistics = 444
Level 9 Logistics = 420
Level 10 Logistics = 399
If the distance is greater than 4 miles, add another transport or more, to carry extra food for the journey.

[edit] NPC Level 5 Supplemental
My personal experience has been attacking Lvl 5 NPCs with 400 transports and 450 ballistas led by heroes holding an Attack Level of 40 to 80. No losses have been incurred. Using this method is best ascertained by determining how much each transport can carry and divide that amount into the total capacity of the NPC. Use equal amount of ballistas plus 15 percent for your total attacking force. It reduces resources required to heal and rebuild troop levels.
I have found the following to be accurate:
NPC Level Transport Ballistas 1 22 25 2 36 41 3 121 137 4 227 256 5 400 450
Cheers, John
[edit] Level 4 NPC
I have followed this wiki on attacking the NPC's and all the information has been absolutely correct up to level 4. I used 215 ballista (level 6 archery)and 385 transporters. Sad to report that I lost. All that did not take out the archery towers, only got 20 of the 550, it did however defeat everything else. It will take more than the 215 Ballista I sent....not many more though. Be prepared for a fight. Here is the battle:

UPDATE BY RAILAN.
I attacked a Level 4 NPC today with:
| 1 | Worker |
| 1 | Warrior |
| 1 | Scout |
| 1 | Swordsman |
| 3460 | Archers |
| 350 | Transports |
| 1 | Cavalry |
| 100 | Ballista |
I won this battle but sadly lost all of my Archers. Below is the link to the battle for proof that you can win if your willing to sacrifice.

Will i do it again? No, it is much to costly in time. next time at least 200 Ballista. I will update how that goes.

The problem Was your Archery LVL, upgrade more... I attack LVL 3 NPC since Archerly lvl 6, but waiting to have it to lvl 8 to attack lvl 4 NPC citys, and to have more chanses to win in NLC citys lvl 5 need lvl 10 of archery (CrazyCool - Server 38)
I have effectively taken out lvl 4 NPC with the following.
190 ballistas
370 Transporters for plunder
Archery lvl 8
Horse Back Riding lvl 5
0 casualties every time
this was with mayor atk 71
attacking hero had atk of 61
I Moronihah have something else to add. I successfully defeated an npc lvl 4 with only 225 ballistas and 320 transports. However, my hero was a 94 att heroe and the npc hero was only lvl 3. Furthermore, my archery was level 7, military tradition was 6, horseback riding was 4. In addition, I had an additional attack enhancement active of 20 percent. It took 62 rounds. I don't think I would have continued with the attack had my last scout, done 2 minutes before the attack hit, shown a much higher level enemy heroe.
Ok so i've been playing for a while and i've gotten advice and knowledge from many people so this is what i have gathered, Lvl Ballistae Trans Food 1 20 25 100k 2 50 60 200k 3 170 170 900k 4 250 350 1.6m 5 600 550 3m
It doesn't matter what your hero's level is or what their attack attribute is, it will work EVERY time. If you have any problems or would like to talk you can contact me at lukascs2006@yahoo.com. Put EVONY in the subject line so i will know what you mean and not delete your email.
The problem is, Not having the required technology levels needed for safe farmin, even being safe, i send 300 ballista and transports with all techs MAXED out. i also send 1 worker, warrior, scout, pikeman, and swordsman. This increases the chance to get honor medals wheich are needed for the General Rank, also the titles Baron, and Viscount.
[edit] Level 2 NPC
I am actively farming two level 2 NPCs using only 40 ballistae. My hero has attack 33 and intelligence 36.

[edit] Import from Attacking
I just imported a bunch of attack stats from the Attacking page. They need integration and clean up. Ackis 22:55, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
[edit] NPC LVL 5
Archery lvl 9 HBR lvl 8/9 I can confirm that it is possible to take a lvl 5 NPC out with as little as 360 ballistas with 0 casualties, hero 60+ attack. I'll post back further results using various attack hero's
[edit] Organization of Stats on "Safe Number of Ballista" Section
I want to change how this section is organized so that it's easier for users to look up how many ballista they'll need. I understand that this section is more a record of 0 loss attacks, but it's a really great look up tool for users to find a minimum of number of ballista to attack NPCs with. There isn't anything else like it on the web and I think it could be a great section for reference. But as it stands, a user has to cross-reference a lot of info to figure out how many ballista they should attack with and it's not organized for easy look up.
Since MT and Hero ATT really determine the actual strength of your attacking force, I'd like to organize the table so that these factors are more prominent in determining how many ballista to send. I'd really like to emphasis the absolute minimums also, since it takes so long to build ballista. HBR is important, but it only affects avoiding losses, so as long as someone has a safe number (which will be repeated somehow in the table) and is already achieving zero losses under 100 rounds, it would be better to focus on MT and Hero ATT.

[edit] PLEASE RESTORE THE WIKI TO THE WAY IT WAS. THE OLD CHARTS WERE FOOLPROOF. iF YOU WOULD LIKE TO INCLUDE YOUR REORGANIZED CHARTS AS WELL, MAKE THEM AN ADDITION, NOT A REPLACEMENT.
[Begin Edit] I did not write the text above or below, but I need to insert a correction here. I was farming lvl 5 NPCs with no losses. I upped my MT and started taking losses. While successful, I had Arch 9, HBR 6 and MT 7. When MT moved to 8, I started taking losses. The above statement is not accurate. Also, these results mean there is some sort of "safe ratio" to figure out. Thinking about ballistas needing to take out ATs before they get into range makes sense and upping HBR could get you into range of the ATs before they are all gone. So, upping HBR could cause you to take losses when you weren't previously. However, upping MT causing you to take losses when you weren't previously doesn't make sense in that regard. There must be a relation of HBR to MT that needs to be maintained. We need to figure that out. --WastinTime 14:10, 11 April 2010 (UTC) [End Edit]
A simple example may be something like this:
[edit] Level 4
This is regarded as the best "bang for your buck" NPC city as it gives the biggest jump in money.
Archery 6 - 900 Ballista MT 7, Hero ATT 72, HBR 8, repeated with no loss. Archery 7 - 215+ Ballista - 253 Ballista MT 3, Hero ATT 74, HBR 8, ( no losses, ?? rounds ) (With corselet and warhorn activated) - 270 Ballista MT 7, Hero ATT 124, HBR 8, ( no losses, ?? rounds ) Archery 8 - 130 Ballista MT 7, Hero ATT 095, HBR 8, ( no losses, 78 rounds ) ( with warhorn ) - 200 Ballista MT 7, Hero ATT 088, HBR 8, ( no losses, 69 rounds ) - 095 Ballista MT 8, Hero ATT 098, HBR 8, ( no losses, 94 rounds ) ( with warhorn ) - 122 Ballista MT 8, Hero ATT 094, HBR 8, ( no losses, 86 rounds ) ( with warhorn ) - 200 Ballista MT 8, Hero ATT 102, HBR 8, ( no losses, 64 rounds ) - 250 Ballista MT 8, Hero ATT 065, HBR 8, ( no losses, ?? rounds ) - 167 Ballista MT 9, Hero ATT 060, HBR 8, ( no losses, 81 rounds )
Archery 9 - 125 Ballista MT 7, Hero ATT 109, HBR 8, ( no losses, ?? Rounds ) - 160 Ballista MT 8, Hero ATT 100, HBR 8, ( no losses, ?? Rounds ) - 150 Ballista MT 8, Hero ATT 068, HBR 8, ( no losses, 77 rounds ) with warhorn - 143 Ballista MT 8, Hero ATT 070, HBR 8, ( no losses, ?? Rounds ) - 105 Ballista MT 9, Hero ATT 112, HBR 8, ( no losses, 93 Rounds ) - 105 Ballista MT 9, Hero ATT 105, HBR 8, ( no losses, 95 Rounds ) - 110 Ballista MT 9, Hero ATT 103, HBR 8, ( no losses, 90 Rounds ) - 140 Ballista MT 9, Hero ATT 100+, HBR 8, ( no losses, ?? Rounds ) - 170 Ballista MT 9, Hero ATT 083, HBR 8, ( no losses, 74 Rounds ) - 180 Ballista MT 9, Hero ATT 076, HBR 8, ( no losses, 73 Rounds ) - 200 Ballista MT 9, Hero ATT 074, HBR 8, ( no losses, 57 Rounds ) - 235 Ballista MT 9, Hero Att 021, HBR 8, ( no losses, 72 Rounds ) - 250 Ballista MT 9, Hero ATT 069, HBR 8, ( no losses, 59 Rounds ) Archery 10 - 180 Ballista MT 07, Hero ATT 80+, HBR 7, ( no losses, 69 Rounds ) - 180 Ballista MT 09, Hero ATT 70+, HBR 9, ( no losses, ?? Rounds ) - 100 Ballista MT 10, Hero ATT 100, HBR 9, ( no losses, ?? Rounds ) - 180 Ballista MT 10, Hero ATT 040, HBR 9, ( no losses, 79 Rounds )
It's not much different. But as you can see, with MT sectioned off and hero ATT in order, it's easy to see how many ballista to send in ascending order. And users can also make a better guess at how many ballista they need if they don't have the exact Hero ATT.
Any comments or suggestions?
[edit] Building NPCS
Shouldn't it say the level of the flat? not the level of the highest building. Cause thats now I've been doing it.
Building Npc's is what makes up most of the game for you and you will need to for the upbring of your mass army.
Attack lvl 10 flats between a 3mile radius only!
Attack lvl 7-9 flats between a 3+ mile radius Only!
Attack all lvl 5 flats after that and build and abandon as usual.
Now, You should have about 3-5 10 npc
About 3-5 Lvl 7 - 9
The rest are all 5s.
This is an efficient method, I have used this from previous servers. It works wonders.
[edit] Level 8 NPC's
The nice thing about level 8 NPC's is the extra resources you get: 800k Lumber, Stone and Iron - Level 10's only have 600k. If the prices are high on your server and you run the numbers, farming Level 8's can be more lucrative than farming Level 10's.
KW - I have found this not to be true. Have never seen the numbers get anywhere high enough. After numerous calculations, getting only 200k more of each resource does nothing since the overall losses will cost more resources to rebuild than what you received. So attacking an npc8 or 10 is for food. The 8 million more you receive from a 10 more than covers anything you get from the 8.
[edit] Attack (with Hero of at least 150)
4,000 Warriors 1 Pike 2 Scouts 2 Sword 88,500 Archers 1,500 Transports
[edit] Expect to Lose:
2,387 Warriors 1 Pike 2 Scouts 2 Sword 4,606 Archers
Works well with Level 6 and 7 NPC's as well however I have not experimented with decreasing the troop counts for them. I did use this on a Level 9 NPC and ended up lossing all the Warriors, Pike, Scouts and Sword plus around 6k Archers.
Now there is also another method; if you don't mind a bloodbath and taking the short amount of time it takes to build them you can use Warriors in place of what is above.
98,500 Warriors 1,500 Transports
You will loose about half your Warriors however keep in mind they are cheap and fast to make. [battle report links deleted] this was just after a server merge; the level of the attack hero is 130att. I had read that you would gain at least 20k prestige per hit, but that is totally false folks!!! I gained just under 3k prestige and around 600k experience.
I added report for the ballista chart , 215 ballistas, hbr 5, mt 2, archery 7.
based on this: [battle report link deleted]
I also re-arranged the archery 7 section in order of the number of ballistas. I recommend that everyone keep things arranged by numbers of ballistas, then if same , by number of hbr, then mt and so on. so that we can easily read it.
Added another ballista info for the chart, for NPC lvl 4 archery 7 317 Ballista HBR 5, MT 5, Hero ATT 058 ( 0 losses, 62 rounds } based on: [battle report link deleted]
[edit] Level 1 NPC
7000 Warriors -- 604 Loss -- Defending Hero 17 -- Attacking Hero 70
6000 -- 608 -- 17 -- 75
6000 -- 548 -- 14 -- 76
6000 -- 676 --- 7 -- 78
4000 -- 689 -- 17 -- 79
3000 -- 641 -- 14 -- 79
Yo can u guys add amount of troops to send for every lvl NPC that would be a real help
[edit] FIX THE APOSTROPHES
Is this article written by a 12 year old?
NPC's = Possession
NPCs = Plural
Learn it. Fix it!
- For proper English, when you use acronyms such as NPC, the plural form is in fact NPC's.
- Feel free to fix it yourself. This is a wiki after all. --Wynthyst 16:07, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
- Wow what a anal post, some people truely are so insecure in their intellect that they actually go around searching wikis for spelling/grammar errors.
I'm with the originator of this paragraph - I just happened to notice it as I was looking for info. An apostrophe indicates either possession (belonging to the NPC) or omission of one or more letters (NPC is...), NEVER a plural. The fact that it's a set of initials is irrelevant. And even 12 year olds should know this! :-)
[edit] Table Layout
Someone's fixated on making monster table layouts. They are harder to read, and harder to get an ensemble glimpse of all the information. We don't need "cool" looks and colors, we need expediency and efficiency! Whoever it is that is creating these new ugly layouts please stop. I don't know enough about wiki code to go back to the original format. The new table describing farming lv1-3 npcs now takes up an 2 entire screens, talk about inefficient layout!!!! we used to be able to read that section in half a screen!
[edit] AGE II Multi-tap
Multi-tap farming of lvl 5s n 10s are possible - more res, less losses... Its pretty easy i got a 4 tap that works everytime for me stil having a 50 50 chance on the 5-8 taps simply send ur breaker with 1550 workers 1550 scouts 1800 war 93331 arch 1749 trans then 10-15 secs later hit with 98000 war 1774 trans 10-15 secs 98000 war 1731 trans 10-15 secs 98000 war 1711 trans this is only 1 style of multi tapping a 10 others say this doesnt work for them but when they do 8 secs in between waves it does and they even can add a 5th wave of 98000 war 1701 trans GL I'm Pitts on na33 btw
[edit] Notification
So far, as of Nov 2nd 2011 after maintenance reset, the multi-tap has been turned off. Iroh, NA25 --83.81.63.107 10:13, 2 November 2011 (UTC)
