Increase a hero's loyalty by 25 when rewarded and is used for hero persuasion.
Courage Medals are one of the requirements for the following Titles:

Medal Rewards:
Medal Reward is an important encouragement system. A country gives it as award to those
who make outstanding contribution to the nation. Beside as award given to heroes, it can
also be used in the Persuasion of rival heroes.

Where to Obtain:
Courage Medals can be obtained by attacking higher level valleys (level 6 or higher) and NPC cities (level 0 and higher).
Note: if you want to see the report. i shall post it. level 0 NPC towns drop it too.
I get plenty of courage medals from attacking npc cities level 1-2 with 1600-2000 warriors (but with big warriors loss), but the best way is attacking level 4 NPC cities with 200 ballistas. I get lots of them regularly.
i got mine from just attacking level 5 npcs with about 30k+ archers. i got like at least 2 a day from just attacking 5 level 5s doing this
