It provides a vantage point for archers to shoot enemies. The height (level)of the wall determines the shooting range and thus the effectiveness. The actual number of [[archer]] units in the city has no effect on the performance of archer's towers.<br /> Construction time is affected by [[Construction]] Research and your Hero's Politics Skill. Construction Time = BaseTime*(0.9^Const)*(0.995^Poli)<br /> Archer Tower Range = ((([[Wall]]Lv+[[Archery]])*0.05)+1)*1300<br /> Like all Evony defences it is only effective in huge numbers.<br /> == General Information == Archer's towers are very sturdy and are not easy to destroy as an attacker but don't delude yourself that you are safe.<br /> At Level 5 [[Walls]] and below, towers can be blown away by:<br /> <ol> <li>[[Archer]] on about a 10:1 ratio eg 30,000 Archers will make mincemeat of 3,000 Towers, provided<br /> the Archery Research Levels are similar.</li> <li>[[Ballista]] - they stand-off and reduce Towers at little to no loss to themselves, also depending on Archery levels.</li> <li>[[Catapult]] - they stand-off and reduce Towers at little to no loss to themselves, also depending on Archery levels.</li> </ol> However when walls get to L6 and above the defenders chances dramatically increase as each level extends the archers range.<br /> You should fill up your wall with at least 14k archer towers.
